Premier Accounting & Tax Services didn't start in 2007. It started decades earlier.

Andy Benvenuti spent over 40 years building a reputation that's rare in this industry — one built entirely on trust, results, and genuinely caring about the people across the desk from him. When he opened Premier Accounting & Tax Services in November 2007, he did so with one simple conviction: that clients deserve an advisor who fights for them year-round, not just on April 15th.

Today, Andy remains an active presence at the firm — his decades of wisdom still very much in the room on complex matters. Day-to-day leadership has passed to the two people who know his vision best: his wife Barbara, and his son Andrew. Together, the Benvenuti family has grown the practice into what it is today: a full-service, family-owned accounting firm with over 65 years of combined experience, serving individuals, families, and businesses across New Jersey, the tri-state area, and beyond.

Meet the Team

Andy Benvenuti — Founder & Senior Advisor: Andy brings an extraordinary depth of knowledge to complex tax matters — including work as CFO of a nationally operating company valued at over $1 billion, and specialized expertise spanning NJ film tax credits, construction finance, agricultural tax strategy, multi-state filings, international tax obligations, and complex corporate advisory work across a wide range of industries. While Barbara and Andrew lead the day-to-day, Andy remains closely involved to this day — available to clients, present on complex matters, and making sure that the foundation everything here is built on is still continued.

Barbara Benvenuti — Co-Owner & Managing Partner: Barbara has been part of Premier Accounting since the very beginning — and in many ways, she's the reason the firm runs as well as it does. She holds a degree in Accounting and brings over 20 years of hands-on accounting experience, 12 of those in corporate accounting. She oversees the full operation: client relationships, workflow, finances, and the day-to-day decisions that keep everything moving. Barbara has a natural instinct for the controller side of the business — cash flow, cost oversight, keeping the books tight. Clients who are building something find in her a partner who genuinely understands where they're trying to go.

Andrew Benvenuti — Tax Specialist: Andrew has been working in accounting for over 10 years, including experience at Paramount — and he's built his career with one eye always on the future of this firm. As the next generation of Premier Accounting, he works across every area of the practice: individual returns, business filings, bookkeeping, and client advisory work spanning industries from construction and agriculture to corporate and beyond. Andrew is client-focused above all else — he's the person in the room who makes sure you feel heard, understood, and taken care of. He is actively pursuing his CPA certification, adding formal credentials to his already deep experience. With his family's guidance behind him and his own decade of experience to draw from, he's growing into the full scope of what this firm does and where it's going.
